Saturday April 25th, The Eleventh Wind: Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars vs. The Windy City Rollers, @Roy Wilkins Join On Facebook

Coming off of a phenomenal season, The Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars will be opening up the 2015 season by playing a bout at home! Never a disappointing game, this exciting matchup will pit our beloved All-Stars against the Windy City Rollers of Chicago!

The night will start with our B-Team, the Minnesota Nice, battling against Chicago’s own Second Wind. After, see some of the best skaters in the world skate their hearts out as the Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars take on the Windy City Rollers All-Stars. Every time these two teams face one another, it’s a bout you don’t want to miss. We’re confident this evening will be no exception. What a great way to start off the season!

We’ll be giving away a special limited edition Minnesota RollerGirls t-shirt to the first 200 people in the doors. There will also be a very limited quantity for sale. When they’re gone, they’re gone, so get there early!

Get old fashioned black eyes for $1 at our Black Eye Booth, or support your favorite home team for a $2 donation (kids always free!). If you think we’ve done an exceptional job, a more generous donation is always appreciated. All proceeds go to our door charity of the evening, Women of Nations.

AFTER PARTY
Join us at O’Garas after the bout to hobnob with your favorite RollerGirls!

BOUT CHARITY
Our season long charity is the Ann Bancroft Foundation’s Let Me Play Grant which funds athletic & dance equipment or participation fees
for girls ages 5 through high school graduation, giving them the opportunity to be part of a team, build strength and confidence, and push themselves farther—on the field and off.

DOOR CHARITY
Each bout, we select one worthy cause as our door charity for the evening. This bout’s charity is Women of Nations. Women of Nations provides culturally specific emergency services and support to all who have experienced trauma and domestic, sexual, and dating violence, and empower Native American communities to put an end to all forms of violence through education and prevention.

TICKET DISCOUNTS
At the door only, bring your valid student ID to receive a $2 discount.
In addition, we often collect items for our door charity for a $2 discount at the door. At this bout, we’ll be collecting toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste/brushes for Women of Nations to earn a discount. (One discount per person per ID/Donation)

ABOUT THE POSTER ARTIST
This month’s TinTin referencing poster concept is brought to you by a collaboration between our very own John Maddening with Illustrations & design work by Samuel Shimota, aka MC Thresher. MCT is a graphic designer at Fantasy Flight Games, where he works on board and card games. He also does freelance illustration, live caricature, and graphic design. He has been involved in roller derby since April of 2009, both as a fan of MNRG and NSRG, and as a skater for the T.C. Terrors (which would become Minnesota Men’s Roller Derby). Go to barcssarc.tumblr.com to see some his work, with new stuff every Monday!
