Let them eat skate. Ouch.

Check out our second home bout of the season to count toward standings when the Atomic Bombshells battle the Garda Belts followed by the Dagger Dolls duking it out against the Rockits.

We can’t guarantee the skates will taste good, but the entertainment can’t be beat!

BOUT CHARITY
Our season long bout charity is the Ann Bancroft Foundation’s Let Me Play Grant which funds athletic & dance equipment or participation fees for girls ages 5 through high school graduation, giving them the opportunity to be part of a team, build strength and confidence, and push themselves farther—on the field and off. We love the Ann Bancroft Foundation and the amazing work they do to empower girls in athletics!

DOOR CHARITY
All season long, we’re maintaining a relationship with an exceptional organization! Each bout, we will be collecting new or gently used shoes of any kind at the door to support Shoe Away Hunger, which is a segment of Good in the ‘Hood. Good in the ‘Hood is a nonprofit charity that offers essential groceries and hot meals for more than 4000 people each month. Through their Shoe Away Hunger program they host shoe drives in order to collect new and gently used footwear. The very best of these new and gently-used shoes are sold on their shoe bus mobile thrift store for a $5.00 suggested donation. The proceeds are dedicated to purchase groceries to support hungry families in need. Every time they sell a pair of shoes, they’re able to feed 1 more hungry person with up to 7 days worth of essential groceries. They encourage everyone to put their best foot forward by cleaning out their closet for this cause.

Additionally, we will also be collecting yarn for our special door charity of the evening, Midwest Social Services. MSS (Midwest Special Services, Inc.) provides individualized programs and supports for people with intellectual and physical disabilities to help them reach their personal goals and achieve their full potential. MSS is committed to identifying the barriers that individuals face, and then building customized plans to help them overcome those barriers. MSS serves the entire seven-county Metro area with six facilities, each designed to provide support to individuals, their caregivers and families.
