Before I tried out for roller derby, I was a professional couch potato.
Bio:
Refusing to believe there was nothing more to life than tornadoes and tumbleweeds, Stacy left the hill-less plains of western Kansas in search of bigger and better things. She eventually settled down in Minnesota, where, sometimes, there are MORE TORNADOES than in Kansas. D’oh!
Stacy felt immediately at home in the big city, but soon began to feel dissatisfied with her couch potato lifestyle. Enter Minnesota RollerGirls. After attending one bout on a blind date, she was hooked and decided to dust off those ol’ skates that hadn’t seen a rink floor in some 20 years. She lists tryouts as the hardest thing she has ever done, but Stacy wouldn’t trade being a Garda Belt for anything in the world.
