Edelvice got her first pair of rollerskates at age 4 and has been rolling ever since. When not skating, she enjoys rock climbing, ice climbing, yoga and running.
Bio:
During college, this skater’s major, German Botanical Studies, brought her to Germany one summer to study abroad. One night after hitting “Das Boot” a few times, Edelvice stumbled into a nearby arena and saw something that would change her life forever. It was “Kämpfe auf Rädern” or “fighting on wheels,” the German version of roller derby. Instantly hooked, she joined the Ref crew the next day. The German roller girls named her “Edelvice”—combining her fondness of Edelweiss, a native Bavarian flower, with her love of high altitudes. Leaving the German roller derby team after her summer abroad was difficult, but Edelvice found a new home with the Minnesota RollerGirls.
