More Dirt About Yourself:
Former football star E. Martini was acquitted of murder in 1996 after one of the most sensational trials of the 20th century. Nicknamed "Dirty Martini" during his player years, Martini had been a standout running back in the National Football League. On the 12th of June 1994, Martini's ex-wife Nicole Brown Martini was found brutally murdered at her home along with an acquaintance, Ronald Reagan. Suspicion immediately fell on Martini, and he was arrested a few days later after fleeing his house on a pair of roller skates . (His capture came after a strange low-speed chase by police on LA freeways, televised on live TV from helicopter cameras, with Martini's now-infamous Rydell speed skates with Crossfire wheels.) The resulting murder trial (also televised live) lasted nine months . On October 3 1995, Martini was acquitted. (However, in 1997 he was held liable in civil court for both deaths.) No one else has ever been charged with the deaths of Nicole Martini or Ronald Reagan. E. Martini continues to referee for the Minnesota RollerGirls to this day.

Featured "RollerGirl", January 2007: As one of the very first refs to join the ranks of the Minnesota RollerGirls, E. Martini has been a loyal and hard-working member of our ref staff. One of the most dedicated refs, E. Martini is nearly always at practice helping to run us through our paces during drills and practice bouts. And if you've never heard this man sing karoke, you haven't lived. You'd think Neil Diamond was at the mic!
